Due to serious lung disease, I had to quit smoking in 1998.
These 16 stories are what poured out the first couple of years
I fought nicotine cravings and used writing as a therapeutic tool.
My stories contain true life situations distorted enough to make
them fun to read. Life is scary and sometimes impossible to face
without a little fantasy thrown in to lighten the harsh reality.
The Bamboo Thickett  in its original form is a story I wrote and
later rewrote with Eric S. Brown and we published as Katie.
Slow Suicide is my first published story in the horror genre.
When I wrote Slow Suicide, I had almost two years nicotine free and
just lost my dad to lung disease he developed from his years
of tobacco use. I wrote it on my laptop while I kept vigil at the
hospital while my mom recuperated from surgery for
pancreatic cancer. Slow Suicide is the only story related to nicotine, there are other horrors in the world.
I touch on several subjects that've come across my tracks through my life. Once I face the boogie men in my life they're easier to live with and for me the easy way is head  on.
